What are Follow-Ups?

Follow-ups are bonus episodes for Patrons!

I chat with past guests on the show to hear about recent sends, and what they’ve been up to lately.

What Patrons are saying…

“Better than Netflix”

"It’s more entertaining than Netflix… Totally worth it!”

– Steve Bechtel

(Climb Strong)

“Such a fun listen!”

“Our climbing community is full of folks who have climbed my dream routes, overcome athletic barriers, and have thought a lot about what climbing means to us. A regular episode is just not enough time with these climbers!”

– Mike Kerzhner

“Totally worth it!”

“Becoming a Patreon member for the follow-up conversations is totally worth it—I can’t recommend this podcast enough!!!”

– Emma Stapp

“Go-to climbing podcast”

“As a coach and passionate climber, I listen to an enormous amount of podcasts. The Nugget ‘Follow-Ups’ get into the nitty-gritty details we all love to obsess over. This is just one more reason why The Nugget Climbing Podcast is the go-to podcast in the climbing world.”

– Ken Klein

(Climb Strong Coach)

“Jasna is a genius”

“My favorite was Jasna! She was so funny and smart!”

– Jasna Hodzic

*She was joking, but I couldn’t resist…

“I love Follow-Ups”

“I love the follow-ups, it's great to be able to ask questions of the guests, and I'm really psyched to help keep the podcast going. Everyone should be a patron!”

– Casey McTaggart

Follow-Up: Ethan Pringle

The Stories We Tell Ourselves

This is a free teaser of my Follow-Up with Ethan Pringle. We talked about surfing, about the stories we tell ourselves about what we can and can’t do, about the biggest difference between Adam Ondra and everyone else, about Ethan’s potential projects in Northern California, and about my recent projects in Ten Sleep.

*The full version is 51:13.

$5 per month

Think of it as buying me a beer after a great episode…

Every dollar helps!

Q: I'm a Patron—how do I get my content?

A: There are two options:

Option 1: You can listen directly through the Patreon App.

Option 2: Another option is to enter your custom RSS feed into your favorite podcast listening app. This article walks you through how to do it.

Here’s what Option 2 looks like in Apple Podcasts:

Q: Which podcast apps support custom RSS feeds?

A: You can find the list for iOS and Android by clicking here.

(Unfortunately, Spotify does not support custom RSS feeds at this time.)

Q: How long are Follow-Ups?

A: The length of Follow-Up conversations varies greatly, from 20 minutes to two hours or even longer. I share the running time of the full Follow-Up in the teaser episode notes as a reference.

Q: How often do Follow-Ups get published?

A: I try to publish two new Follow-Ups per month, sometimes only one if it is especially long. If you sign up now, you will get access to all past Follow-Up calls.

Q: Are there show notes for Follow-Ups?

A: I do not do show notes for Follow-Ups. Any links I reference in the episode will be right there in the episode notes in your podcast app, and on Patreon.

Q: Can I share my RSS feed with my friends and family?

A: The custom RSS feed should only work for your device, and isn’t set up for sharing. Having said that, I would love it if you’d share the podcast. If you support the podcast and would like to share a specific Follow-Up episode with a friend or family member, email me and we can set something up.

Q: I can’t commit to $5 per month—is there another way to get access to bonus content?

A: Email me! If you are a passionate climber and trying to live the dirtbag dream, I’ll give you access for free :)

If you still have any questions, email me at steven@thenuggetclimbing.com

Cheers y’all!
