Meet Your Coach

Steven Dimmitt is a certified sports nutrition coach, functional nutrition counselor (CSNC, CFNC), and performance rock climbing coach.

His philosophy is holistic—if you want to become the best climber you can be, you need to address the entire person. Food, habits, relationships, and deep-rooted beliefs all play a role in how hard we climb.

Steven has been climbing for 20 years. In that time, he has sent over 100 combined 5.13 routes and double-digit boulders, logged thousands of hours on the rock, and spent over 6 years coaching climbers of all levels.

As the creator and host of The Nugget Climbing Podcast, Steven has collected top advice from 300+ of the world's best climbers and coaches, and synthesized it into his unique 4-pillar system.

FAQ

What is the main difference between Climb Accelerator and Private Coaching?

1

Climb Accelerator gives you immediate, lifetime access to the ultimate framework for climbing progression. It is built for self-motivated climbers who want to identify their core performance bottlenecks and gain the tools to continually improve.

Private Coaching is a high-touch, elite 1-on-1 athletic partnership. I build, monitor, and continuously optimize a 100% custom training, nutrition, and tactical protocol engineered to get you exactly where you want to go.

I climb outside of the V4–V12 / 5.11–5.14 range. Is this still for me?

2

Yes. While that is the bracket most of my clients currently sit in, the 4-Pillar framework applies to anyone who is ready to show up with intention. If you are a newer climber who wants to build correct habits from day one, or a veteran climber aiming to break into elite grades, this system will save you years of random guesswork. The only requirement is a dedication to the process.

How much time do I need to commit each week to see results?

3

You don't need to live in the gym to see massive progress. The entire philosophy of my coaching is focused on efficiency—doing the exact right work to stimulate adaptation without causing overtraining or injury. I work with all kinds of athletes: weekend warriors, time-busy parents/professionals, and van lifers who climb full time. My job is to meet you where you are and create a path forward that fits your schedule.

Does the training require specific gym equipment or a home wall?

4

Not at all. My framework is highly adaptable. Whether you train at a world-class climbing gym, a small local co-op, or on a simple home setup with a hangboard (like The NUG), the core principles of improvement remain exactly the same.
